Firstly, your dentist will examine your mouth and take photos of your smile. We’ll also ask you about your treatment goals; even if you don’t have anything specific in mind, your dentist can talk through your options so you can see how your teeth could be transformed before and after porcelain veneers.

If you agree to go ahead, we’ll take a digital scan of your teeth with a 3D scanner. This will let our dental team create an image of what your teeth will look like after we’ve fitted your veneers. You’ll have a choice of colours to choose from to match your tooth shade.

When we prepare your veneers, we might have to remove a very small amount of your tooth enamel (around half a millimetre) so that the veneer will fit over your tooth properly when we place it. After this we’ll take another 3D scan to help our technicians create the porcelain veneers.

Our dental technicians will send us your veneers after about 2 weeks. Come and see us for a placement appointment, where our professional team will check that everything aligns with your bite. We’ll then bond your veneer to your teeth or teeth with a special dental cement.

After your veneers have been fitted, carry on coming for regular dental hygiene and checkup appointments so that we can check everything is going well. While porcelain veneers are durable, it’s best to avoid biting hard objects like pens. With the right care, your new smile could last up to 15 years!
